Firefox Favourite Manga Dragon Ball <3	Hey hey Waves I'm Barbossa! And it's my first time on a DBZ forum. Gasp So please, be kind~ As for DBZ itself, unlike most people I got into Dragon Ball only a few years ago, starting with the manga. And I've loved the manga ever since. I own both series in their entirety, and when I got around to watching the anime, I ended up starting off with the Buu Saga. Haven't seen Kai yet, but looking forward to getting around to it, as I bet I'll enjoy it more for its manga-true-ness. In the artz department, I have a DA account & a Tumblr that I tend to post gifs on rather than GFX's, but anyway my latest piece, until I whip up a snazzy GFX set for these forums, is a Shenron/Black Star Shenron wallpaper that I'd love to show off around here...somewhere...>>;; Lastly, would I be considered a traitor if my new favourite character is Bills? :P Hoping you'll have me here!

My first experience with DBZ fandom was me and a bunch of other girls who liked it when I was a little girl. I've talked before about how I played with my DBZ figurines with my barbies. Vegeta and Midge lived in the dream house and drove a baby blue Volkswagen beetle. That was my favorite scenario to play out, no clue why. When I got older and I got into the online fandom, I was a part of the now-obsolete DBZ fanfic salon which was almost exclusively female. Good times. Good times.

Well if there are ladies abound in this fanbase, I've had zero luck finding them. ;w; Wow, those must've been cool days! The only anime figs I had growing up were the Tamer's Digimon, and boy did I have fun with them, though oddly enough I wasn't into dolls. ;w; Sucks that I missed out on stuff like this. Not just DBZ related, but in other fandoms too.

Not just DBZ related, but in other fandoms too. Fan fiction is a widely female-dominated area, in my opinion, especially if you search out a genre that's less fighty-fighty and more character driven. Not to say there aren't plenty of male authors, just that the majority of the authors I follow are female. I used to keep contact with a pretty large group of gals and we all wrote and bounced ideas off of each other, but when I left fandom I lost that. Pretty tragic, actually. I only had a few figures since even as a child I had to buy my own DBZ toys or borrow them from my brothers. I had this one really great Super Saiyan Vegeta that had the detachable hands and stuff so he could do different poses and I just loved him. I actually have no idea what happened to him... guess he got lost in moving or something.
